Awarded Ph.D. in Library and Information Science (LIS) from the University of Mysore, Mysore for his research work on “Knowledge Organisation Systems in Digital Libraries: A Case of ETDs”. Also, recipient of 2008 Endeavour Research Fellow to visit Australia as part of the research study at School of Computer science and Mathematics, Victoria University, Melbourne.
His academic background is MLIS (Master of Library & Information Science) from Karnatak University, Dharwad securing First Class and Gold Medal. Recipient of National Merit Scholarship for twice. Completed PGDLAN (Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking) from University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. Also qualified Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (M-SET) for lectureship.
